Collaboration: The Hair Saint x Occasions Box - Top 3 Hair Care Essentials

When it comes to empowering women, showing up for one another and celebrating their accomplishments, we are ready to shout “You Go Girl!” as loud as we can! So here we are clapping for the super talented hair stylist Ona Diaz-Santin, who is best known as “The Hair Saint” and who we had the honor to meet and design our first OB collaboration. We are so very excited to share all about our project, but first things first, let us introduce you to this amazing Latina, Ona Diaz-Santin!

Ona Diaz-Santin, AKA The Hair Saint from 5 Salon & Spa

Ona, is one of the most versatile and highly sought-after Latina hair stylists in NJ/NYC area. A celebrity stylist, educator and curl expert; Ona has revived the tresses of numerous celebrities. She has also become well-known amongst the rapidly growing curly influencer network, favorited as the go-to stylist by top bloggers and influencers including, Massy Arias, Franchelli Rodriguez (Chellis Curls), Carolina Contreras (Miss Rizos) and Ada Rojas (All Things Ada). Her nickname, “The Hair Saint” was dubbed by her loyal clients, who felt she not only healed their hair but provided a full curative and soothing experience like no other.

She is also the owner and Creative Director at 5 Salon & Spa, which is located in our hometown, Fort Lee, New Jersey. When she’s not making hair magic, you can find her educating other stylists as a Wella educator, via dozens of workshops throughout the year. Most recently, 5 Salon & Spa was named by Refinery29 as one of “The Best New York City Salons for Natural Hair & Curls.” She's also been featured in various publications (in both English and Spanish) including People En Español, Thrillist, Para Ti Mujer, Mamas Latinas, Insider, Hola, Elle Magazine, El Diario and Oprah Magazine.

So now that you’ve learned a bit about The Hair Saint, let us share a bit about how this exciting collaboration came to be. Ona reached out to us (via our Instagram) with the idea of combining our talents and collaborate on a project she wanted to share exclusively with her clients. We were super thrilled with her idea and right away got to work on bringing her vision to life. We created a custom gift box that consisted of essential and practical items she loves to use in her everyday life as a hair stylist, such as Kitsch’s luxury microfiber hair towel, her favorite detangler brush by Wet Brush and a sleek black Water Mister Bottle. She wanted something that would wow her clients at first glance and we wanted to give her just that! We made sure to maintain a clean, sophisticated and elegant look throughout.
